Tukwila Parks & Recreation is reopening the Tukwila Community Center after it closed due to flooding by a burst pipe on Wednesday, May 28.
At this time, the community center will be open during these hours:
- Thursday, May 29, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Friday, May 30, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Future operations will be communicated to the public.
Visitors should note that portions of the community center will not be available to the public until further notice. They include:
- TCC Lobby
- Teen Room
- Meeting Rooms A and B
- Dance Studio
- Fitness Center
Some planned recreation programs will be held in the community center gym. Participants should enter from the east side of the building, by the Softball Field. The programs include:
- Silver Sneakers, 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.
- Pickleball with a Firefighter, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Group Power, 5:15 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Additional programming will be held in the west wing of the building. Participants should enter from that end of the building. The programs include:
- Preschool, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Senior Strength, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
- Open Painting, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Centergy, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
- After-School Activities Program, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Adult Cake Decorating, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
